Cajeput: (Melaleuca leucadendron cajaputi) oil is a versatile antiseptic and clearing essential oil that can also be used effectively as an inhalant during the cold season. Cajeput essential oil has a fresh, camphoraceous-medicinal aroma with a fruity body note and is very similar to eucalyptus, but softer with a hint of herb.

Nadia's cajeput essential oil originates from Vietnam and is extracted from steam distillation from the fresh leaves of the plant Melaleuca leucadendron.

Safety: Cajeput essential oil may cause skin irritation in some individuals. Although the incidence of skin allergy is low in using natural henna; even natural products can be a source of allergen. Cajeput henna paste is safe for use on children over 10 years old and people who are not pregnant or breastfeeding. Because of the perishable nature of henna we want to send it without any weekend delays at the post office. Please make sure you are able to recieve your henna and freeze ASAP.
Even natural products can be a source of allergen but the incidence of skin allergy is low in using natural henna. Please review all ingredients in our henna before application.

It is not advisable to have henna if the G6PD deficient adult is anemic, or suffering an infectious disease.A healthy G6PD deficient adult may safely have small applications of henna. G6PD deficiency is an inherited condition, and any infant who is diagnosed with this condition MUST NOT have henna – Please seek a medical practitioner for queries. To begin your henna cone pinch out the first little bit of dry henna from the end using tissue paper, the henna will then begin to flow when pressure is applied.

Varying pressure, speed and direction takes many hours of practice; don't be disheartened or give up! Instead contact me if you would like some help, to come to a workshop or have a 1:1 lesson.

Once you have finished your design it will take 30 mins to dry, you need to leave the paste on, when it’s completely dry it will crack and fall off naturally after a few hours (minimum of 3 hours).

Don’t wash or pick off, it needs to stay on to stain well

If it looks like it is lifting off the skin you can apply a sugar solution to the dry henna (1 tsp sugar with a few drops of water)

Avoid water for at least 24hrs if possible –for the best stain

Before washing use aftercare balm or a natural moisturiser to protect it

Watch the stain develop and darken over the next 1-3 days. From pumpkin orange to conker brown.

Keep moisturised and away from the washing up!

It will last 1-2 weeks on your hands and longer elsewhere, but all skins stain differently
